The hubby has a label maker. He is obsessed with it. He is always looking for an opportunity to label something. Storage Box? Let’s put a label on it. Bin for the kids’ clothes. Let’s put a label on it. Pantry flour and sugar container? Let’s put a label on them. Dog? Let’s put a label on it. I never quite understood his obsession. It is just a label maker after all. I can get the same effect with a marker and some tape.

And then it happened. I got one. An Epson LabelWorks Printable Ribbon Kit. Now instead of buying ribbons for special occasions I can make my own. Fancy party favors with names for my daughter’s birthday party? Done. Custom labels for my sister’s wedding (that’s an “if” by the way, not a when)? I can do it.

I’m just itching to put it to use it’s so cute. And it’s even fancier than the hubby’s label maker. It can do 14 different fonts, all on the same label if I want. It can print off fancy symbols. So the Birthday ribbons can have a birthday cake or a panda bear next to each child’s name. The wedding ribbons can have a wedding ring or a scary ghost next to the cute saying. The hubby’s label maker? It does words, in something like 2 fonts, no fancy symbols. The hubby’s label maker can do labels in white or clear. How fancy…not. The Epson LabelWorks Printer can do ribbons in any number of colors. Gold writing on brown ribbon. Pink ribbon. Blue ribbon. Or iron on tape. Or metallic tape. The hubby is so jealous it’s almost perfect.
