8 Solutions for All Day Energy

If you’ve got a busy day planned, having a steady supply of energy is a must. Not only do you want to be careful about how and where you get your energy, you also want to make sure you get a good night’s rest at the end of the day. There are several other things you can do to keep your eyes open and your energy levels at operational capacity rather than chugging coffee all day.

  1. Get Plenty of Protein

Rather than using carbs as one of your main sources of energy, switch to protein. Carbs can actually do you more harm than good in the long run if you consume too many of them. Good sources of protein include green peas, quinoa, beans, nuts and tofu.

  1. Wake Up at the Same Time

Even if you don’t have work anything major planned, you should still get up at the same time every day. Waking up at the same time sets up your circadian rhythms, which helps you stay in synch with the day. Your body may try to get you to stay up later, but don’t let it or you risk being tired the next day.

  1. Drink an Energy Drink

Energy drinks like UPTIME are good sources of fuel throughout the day. Whichever energy drink you decide on, check the ingredients to ensure they’re good for you and won’t make you crash later on.

  1. Have a Latte

If you don’t like the taste of energy drinks, have a latte instead. To get the most out of drinks with caffeine, drink them later in the afternoon rather than in the morning. Your body is more prone to feeling tired in the afternoon than it is in the morning.

  1. Meditate in Short, Frequent Sessions

If you meditate to control your stress, have smaller sessions spread throughout the day rather than a single 20-minute session. Just three minutes of deep breathing does wonders for eliminating stress.

  1. Listen to Music

Whenever you workout to feel energized, pair your warm-up with some upbeat music to really get you in the mood. You may not always be in a state of mind to workout, but some good music can get you there.

  1. Go for a Walk

Instead of a quick nap, go for a quick walk instead. Getting out in the sunshine and the fresh air will do your body and mind good.

  1. Read a Book Before Bed

Take a good book with you to bed instead of your phone or laptop. Bright light can make your brain more active right before bed, which is sure to keep you tossing and turning. If you do use a computer or phone before bed, cut it off at least an hour before.

Do your mind and your body a favor and energize the right way with these tips.
