Understanding your industrial doors

When running a business one of the things people often forget is industrial doors.  Of course, they don’t actually forget to get them fitted, but they can be the last priority.  Caring for and understanding your industrial doors is vital.  Caring for them is what will make them last longer.  Understanding how they work and how they are greatly beneficial to your business is what will help you to protect them.

There are many different types of industrial doors out there.  Maybe you are a business who knows exactly what kind you need.  Or maybe you are a business who is not sure and who requires some guidance.  Either way, there are industrial doors out there to suit.

Take fire stations for example.  These are a specific style of industrial door that is suitable to the needs of the fire station.  If these industrial doors are not cared for, protected and properly maintained then it could be a matter of public safety.  Firefighters don’t have long to get in their fire engines and head out to save lives.  The failing of an industrial door is one thing that should not be an issue.

Having an industrial door company that has a 24-hour emergency service is also vital.  If your industrial doors are housing your stock, your business and your livelihood, and your industrial doors fail, then it is of paramount importance that you have access to your door company who can come out and fix them as soon as possible.

Industrial doors can include everything from, manual roller shutters, electric roller shutters and insulated roller shutters to hinged doors, slide folding shutters and impact doors.  A trained engineer will need to know and understand the doors you have fitted in order to fix them properly and be armed with the right tools in the case of an emergency.

This is why it is key that you understand your doors.  When an emergency strikes, and your industrial doors need fixing, knowing the kind of doors you have will help to save time.  If you have factory workers who using your industrial doors in the early hours of the morning and something goes wrong, you will want to know that your industrial door fitters will be able to spring to action to fix them.  Failure to do so could result in loss of production, theft of stock or become a fire hazard.

Industrial doors come in different shapes and sizes, but they can also come in a wide variety of colours also.  This is ideal if you want them to blend in with your surroundings, fit it with your brand identity or simply be neutral and clean looking.
